My name is Doug.
People describe me as quiet, nice, and smart (at least as much as I hear about it  ). I'm a musician. I consider myself an artist and a philosopher too. I like to take time to think. I like listening and I like to share my thoughts with people who care. I like walking in the evenings. Sometimes it's for the peaceful solitude, but often I wish I had someone to walk with and talk to. I like to study different languages. The only languages I know well are English and Spanish, but I've studied and taken classes in French, Japanese, Arabic, German, Italian, and more. I think there's a lot more perspective to be experienced in life by understanding more than one language. Even other kinds of languages, like music or computer programming languages. I like bookstores. I can spend hours browsing in a bookstore even though reading is not one of my hobbies. It seems like a lot of people hate the world, but I don't hate it; I really kind of like it. I think it's fascinating and never boring, and I enjoy life.
