I'm originally from Columbus & have lived out in the country in Delaware, OH, for over 14 years. I made a conscious choice not to have children and would LOVE to meet others without children. However, I do have a four-legged "kid"-- Roofus, my 4 lb rescue Chihuahua. My dear Tasha, 15+ yr old Afghan Hound, passed on 12/21/09. I love animals & nature--been a birdwatcher for decades--and always look forward to the Spring flowers as I reallllly dislike winter! I used to have a horse & still love them. And I once raised a half dozen bantam chicks & 2 ducks, may they all now rest in peace.
Many moons ago, I used to dance Jitterbug & Swing every night, and taught for The Sock Hop Club--love that 50's music! And I used to love going out all the time, wearing sequins & high heels...but now I'm more of a "home body" and love jeans & tennies! And I refuse to color my hair--I've earned everyone of the gray ones!
I love to talk (was once nicknamed "Windy") & can talk intelligently about just about everything...except sports...with the exception of NASCAR which I inherited thru osmosis from my dad, brother & sister! I've been divorced for over 15 years. I am actually just looking for friends in this area for companionship, long phone conversations & occasional social outings. I would entertain the idea of long distance Pen Pals or Phone Friends. I am not opposed to a relationship in the future, but that can only happen with a lot of time & interaction. I firmly believe in "Friends First"!! And I AM a smoker & know from experience that this is an important issue for a lot of people.
