I moved from Long Island (originally from Massapequa Park) NY to Florida in 2003 with my daughter, who is now nine. I am a "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" person. No Games, No BS! Not looking for "intimate activities" or marriage. I'm 5'1", 115 lbs., down to earth, sincere, witty, intelligent, affectionate. I am very young at heart and mind, and am looking for someone who takes pride in what they look like. I am interested in seeking male "friends" to date (not all at one time!!!) Leading to possibly more later. My number one priority is my daughter.
I have recently been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer (peritoneal mesothelioma). It translates into cancer in the abdominal lining caused by asbestos. How did I get it you may ask????? I have no idea but as I said, it is very rare. I am currently undergoing chemotherapy. I am already more than half way through and will be done in January. I feel great really...the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that I am now completely bald. But everyone I know and all the people I meet say I actually look good bald. (I actually don't look half bad, if I do say so myself!) LOL I am doing well and am looking forward to a long remission. By the way, NO, I'm not going to die from this. As you can see, it hasn't affected my sense of humor in the least. My theory is if I can laugh, so can you!
I don't work anymore so I have plenty of time to visit with friends, go shopping, and volunteer at my daughter's school.
To be honest, I don't cook much (I'm pretty sure I have an oven!!!) And am the first person to call myself the "Microwave Queen"!!!! LOL
