I am a Christian woman with a strong faith and believe that life is too short not to enjoy every moment. I enjoy bowling, movies, music, long walks and long talks about more than the weather, hunting, fishing, and just being with someone who knows how to treat another person as a person. I want to start out as friends and take it slow and meaningful. Someone who knows the meaning of commitment and true friendship. I have raised my children and am ready for me time with that special someone who loves me for me. I am a bigger woman with an even bigger heart that I tend to wear on my sleeve. I am a good listener and enjoy just sitting and talking about anything and everything. The Lord has truly gotten me through these last 2 years a stronger and better person. I am beginning to like who i have found. I am a tell it like it is kind of person and don't hold back any punches. I am a down to earth, country girl at heart, maybe a little redneck. I tend to prefer bigger men, not unhealthy. I tend to not prefer the "pretty boy" type either. The inside person is truly more attractive to me than physical attributes. You know the type, they open their mouth and its all over! I need brains and yet able to be goofy; intelligent yet still able to learn everyday; great sense of humor but yet has a serious side when needed; Flirt but only goes home with the one he loves, and always lets that person know! My partner needs to have a strong faith and practices what he preaches. He also needs to know the meaning of a commitment and compromise and knows when to do both. I enjoy many things and don't mind learning new ones. I want someone who would humor me even if we do something they may not like to do, I would return the humor! I enjoy almost anything with the right company!
I am a cancer survivor and Bone Marrow Transplant survivor of many years. I truly know the meaning of enjoying every moment in life you are given. I received the Courage to Come Back award in 1997, from the Sisters of St. Joseph and they flew my bone marrow donor in from California, to enjoy this special day with me! (not a dry eye was in the house).
I truly know I am looking for a needle in a haystack, someone who could handle me, but one of these days I will get pricked!
