Hi, I am 5'11' /180 lbs. I am 62, and in quite good shape, average build, and average looks. In other words, I'm not a model. I'm not fat and not anorexic skinny and I'm not movie star gorgeous or butt ugly. I am quite athletic but I don't obsess on it. I am quite eclectic in my passions, whether it be people, places or things. I like going to auctions, yard sales, collecting antiques, Harry Potter, listening to back porch music on public radio, theater, just sitting around cuddling by a fire, (if one is available), tinkering around with things. I like to dance, more rock & roll, ie: late 60's early 70's, Music Americana, Blues. I am not looking for marriage in the near future. Don't really want to spend the rest of my life alone either. I enjoy going to the mountains, camping, yard sales, a glass of wine by the fire. I grew up in an army family and have lived in Alaska, Germany, Maryland, Texas and Virginia. I can be quite spontaneous and enjoy spur of the moment choices. I am a flexible person. I want someone to share life's gifts with. I have always been able to appreciate the uniqueness embodied in everything. My family moved around a lot growing up and I learned to discover what each location had to offer. I also enjoy outdoors, nature, and new experiences. I am most proud of my kids who are grown and on their own. I like camping, hiking and sitting around the campfire drinking wine or something stronger. I do have a tent! Movies, and going to dinner are all good, too. I have an unusual sense of humor.
I also enjoy quiet times at home cuddling with someone I care about. I am not looking for marriage, not in a hurry to go down that road again, and I am not looking for a one night stand. I am, and always have been, someone who is more comfortable getting to know 1 person well. I would like to meet someone around 40 to 60 or so. Someone who has a spark but knows how to smell the roses also. I would like to go out with someone that I am attracted to, so I can't very well say that looks don't matter. I like women who are not sloppy. Who respect themselves. The ability to spell,( at least use spell check, I do,) carry on a conversation without saying "ain't" is good.... ) Possessing the ability to admit when you are wrong is good... (I do it; it's not that hard)
