Just started a new full-time job, have a 19-year-old son and two pets at home, and helping out at the old job too. I'm not interested in the club or bar scene or an active social life at this time. The way things are I have very little time for dating. If you have lots of free time because you're retired, or you work nights, or you're very involved in the single's scene, we wouldn't be a good match, as far as a relationship goes. Although I'm extremely independent and somewhat of a loner, I can be goofy, fun, vulnerable, and myself, with the right person. For me, that takes time, and someone who knows it takes time. Most are in too much of a rush for me, which has only made me consider I don't belong here, but I'm not leaving...yet.
