First things first: If you're farther away than 50 miles, please don't contact me for any reason! I don't want to have to buy a plane ticket just to be able to meet you. We've got to be close enough to at least hang out together once in awhile. If you wouldn't drive the distance to meet, then it's too far, period. Forget it. I've already had one long distance relationship that brought me to tears of frustration. Been there. Done that. Won't do it again.
This is also a "first thing" on the importance scale: I'm looking for a serious relationship, even marriage somewhere down the line. If all you want to do is send me sexually loaded emails and naked pictures of yourself, you can forget that, too. Once again, been there.
Okay, if that doesn't scare you off, let's see what else I can come up with. Oh, yes, I've been married and divorced. Twice. The most recent being August of 2009. I have a half-black son (26 and not living with me) from my high school sweetheart to whom I was never married. I also smoke cigarettes (and more) on a daily basis.
I also don't have any money. My last marriage left me high and dry. I truly feel I'm starting all over again. I have to forget the life I did have planned and start working on a new one. I'm beginning my cosmetology career again, just like I did when I was 28. My, how time flies.
On the flip side, I drink rarely and work out regularly. I eat a healthy diet, for the most part, and go organic when I'm able. I'm neat, clean and organized. Intelligent. Faithful. Committed. Good cook. Good lover. Hard worker.
And, even though I have two failed marriages, I still feel I know what it takes to keep a relationship alive. I just happened to marry men who seemed to believe a marriage does not take real work. So there's another caveat for you - if you aren't willing to do the work, don't start the job.
When I was first divorced, I was really, really happy to be alone. Not so much anymore. I like having a man in my life. I prefer it, actually. But, this time, it has to be a happy, healthy relationship where we both feel fed. I mean, come on, if either of us are starving emotionally or sexually, how can we live in that? We can't! Our hearts will wither and so will any love we had.
I don't know about you, but it's obviously happened to me. So, in the way of baggage, I guess that's part of mine. I have felt emotionally, sexually and intellectually starved in my past relationships. I'm looking for someone who is willing to take the time to understand what it takes to keep my love tank full, then try their dead level best to keep it that way. You can rest assured I will do the same for you.
I also appreciate a man who is in good shape. As a matter of fact, I must say that is an absolute necessity. I don't care how old you are. There is really no excuse for being overweight and completely out of shape. That's just plain laziness and lack of self esteem as far as I'm concerned. Sorry if that bites anyone. It's my honest opinion. But then it's also like my daddy used to say: "Opinions are like a** holes - everybody has one."
So there you have it. That's my story for now. If you want to know anything else, you'll have to ask me.
PS If you've read this far, forget about the distance thing. I don't care how far away you are if you can pay for my first visit to see you!
