SINGLE AND LOOKING FOR SOMETHING REAL!
Hello all.... my name is Tonya. I am 5ft 2 in. small build with short blonde hair, blue/green eyes, 114 pounds. I graduated high school in 2001. Went to college in 2001 to become a police officer. Became a police officer in 2002. Joined the United States Army shortly after and served for six years. I am currently working in social services and I love it! I write plans for folks with special needs. I have a son that is a year old and very active. I have been divorced for about two and a half years, and decided not to date during that time because I needed time to heal and figure out what I wanted out of life.I am in the process of going back to college online to peruse a masters degree in behavioral management. I believe in giving one hundred percent in everything that you do, and never to give up! As i see it every obstacle is an opportunity to challenge inner strength, and is what separates the strong from the weak. I have a type A personality. Very outspoken and would never be mistaken for a push over. I am funny, slightly sarcastic, caring, driven, honest, loyal, a leader ,compassionate, fun, realist, push the envelope type of girl, dedicated, confidant, down to earth, small town girl with big dreams! For a long time I viewed my divorce as a failure, It wasn't until i had a chance to reflect back that i realized, it wasn't a failure. It was a lesson and a tough one to say the least. This is what it taught me, Sometimes in life things don't work out the way you initially want them to.And it seems to make little sense at the time. We can only control our own behavior and work on improving our own imperfections. Commitment doesn't mean the same to everyone. and that people change as they grow throughout life...meaning I'm not the same person that I was five years ago. What I thought was important to me then is a low priority on my list now. I guess growing up has a way of doing that to a person, Boy am i glad I faced challenges in my life, they have molded me into the person I am today, not flawless by any stretch of the imagination, but a good person with something to add in a relationship. I am looking for a long term relationship without games. I know what i want and refuse to settle for less than what I deserve. I am certain that my soul mate is out there somewhere.( Are you him)? I am diverse, I can go to a hole in the wall dive and have a great time just as I can attend a professional event and enjoy that as well. I can put on a pair of jeans with holes in them and a t shirt, no make up and a pair of work boots. And i can knock you socks off with a little black dress and some high heels! I don't really have a type, I am more interested in personality as looks fade. Chemistry has to be present, but doesn't define my focus. I am not looking for a "good time" so please skip my profile if that is the reason for your search! I am a non- smoker and prefer not to be around smoke. However, if you smoke and can do so outside, I would compromise. I am strongly against drugs! And would never date someone who engages in such behavior. Also if you have a record for something other than traffic offenses, I'm definitely not your girl.
