Rather than describe myself and then go into a description of what my mate would be like, I'm going to describe how we would be together... We'd feel a chemistry between us right away and we'd want to linger awhile on that first date. We'd part, each of us smiling on the way to our vehicles, thinking we'd like to see each other again. We'd date for awhile and settle into easy conversation, sometimes challenging each other's views, being a little competitive at times (Scrabble and Trivia questions, for example!). The more we know of each other, the more we like and the more we want to know. All the while, the chemistry is brewing beneath the surface. Our kisses hint at the passion that we've stirred in each other. We soon have "inside jokes". One of us slips and talks of a trip we might take together someday and the other is not at all scared off by that idea. We catch our reflection in a window and we both like the way we look together. We look happy. We carefully begin talking of the not-so-pretty sides of our lives and find acceptance. That leads us to being fully honest and we find that liberating. We've both made mistakes and we're determined to not make the same ones so honesty, being open, and listening are critical. Because, after all, what we both want is to love and be loved and maybe, just maybe, this could be it.
