I am a 67-year old widower. Lost my wife and best friend to cancer. After traveling the country in a diesel pusher for over three years, we decided to settle in Southern Arizona. We had just moved to the area, built a home on over 9 acres when she took sick. Didn't have time to integrate into the community and I find meeting people a little difficult. I have two German shorthaired pointers who helped me through some difficult times, but I find them to be lousy conversationalists.
I am a retired business consultant, inventor, and manufacturing executive. I still occasionally assist attorneys as a forensic consultant. I am not wealthy, but comfortable. I love the outdoors, sitting in the dark watching the stars or an electric storm coming up the valley from Mexico.
I prefer home cooking to restaurants and enjoy cooking, woodworking, hiking, geocaching, exploring historic sites, hunting, and fishing.
When I lost my wife, I lost my best friend and companion. I am looking to fulfill that missing link. I find there are many activities that I don't do anymore more because I am missing that essential ingredient, someone to share it with.
Any relationship has to start with a friendship. I am a rather straightforward person, what you see is what you get; I just don't have time for meaningless games.
