First and foremost, God is an essential part of my life, and anyone I date must have a personal relationship with Christ. Also, as honesty is essential, it's important that I let you know up front that I am currently in the middle of a divorce that should be finalized in February. I have no contact with my soon to be ex-husband and no desire to return to that relationship. Ironically, I don't believe in divorce, but unfortunately, my husband had some strange ideas about what he thought marriage should be (namely, that we could live 4 hours apart and still be married). Honestly, I am not bitter. I have been through a lot this past year, but God has really been a shelter for me. I would not be seeking out another relationship if I did not feel that I was ready.
Okay, that being said, what am I really like? I love anything outdoors. I am a normal hoosier girl, but I do occasionally crave an adrenaline rush through scuba diving, white water rafting, snow and water skiing, among other outdoor activities. Recently I started getting into watching the Colts play. I also enjoy going to softball and hockey games. I play on a women's softball team over the summer, and spend a lot of time camping and hiking. Besides the outdoors, I also love spending time at coffee houses, reading, and shopping (for sales, only, of course).
When describing myself, I must reflect on my passionate side. Being the oldest of six, I love my family, though I don't get to spend much time with them as I live a little over three hours away. I also have a passion for missions as well as travel. I try to get away from the midwest at least once a year and every few years I go on a national or international missions trip. Additionally, I love my job (I teach high school English) And have many dreams and ambitions. I do hope God blesses me with children, but I also have other big goals such as writing novels, going on an African safari, and eventually getting my doctorates (I will be finished with my masters this summer).
