I'm in Austin right now (January 2007), for a month for two, to decide whether to move here permanently.
I'm a retired structural engineer and have lived in Billings, Montana since 1991. I was born and raised in Iowa. I lived in Texas (Houston and Dallas) For 9 years, starting in 1978. I moved to Cambridge, MA from Texas, then from MA to MT.
I'm intelligent, optimistic, gentle, honest, not easily bored. I'm not athletic or an outdoorsman.
I am an atheist, but interested in religious matters. I was active in my local Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for several years but have not been active for about 3 years, but expect I'll at least check out the UU churches in Austin.
