I’d like to meet someone who enjoys life and doesn’t take himself too seriously, someone who likes the company of a woman but still has his own individual interests too. I like to discover new places and seek out fun things to do but I am also content to sit around and BS with friends or curl up and watch a mystery on television. It would be nice to meet someone who likes the same. I guess if I met the right person, I’d like to have an exclusive relationship, but I’m definitely not in any hurry to tie the knot. I have to admit, I’ve become very comfortable with my independence and really don’t know whether marriage is something I’d ever consider or not.
I just hit the big 5-0, thought it might be traumatic, but it really hasn't been. I find I'm in good company and truly do believe you're only as old as you feel (sometimes 25, sometimes 85). I’ve been widowed since 2002 and did become seriously involved with a man since then but found we couldn’t make it work. I have two kids, 19 and 23, the 19 year old is away at school and the 23 year old living with me for now. I like this stage in their lives, they are actually fun (most of the time) to spend time with.
I hope it doesn't sound shallow, but for the most part I only check out the profiles with pictures. I guess it feels more natural, more like when someone catches your eye and you move onto "old fashioned " flirting, dating.
