I'm a single mother and, I admit, my son is the center of my world. Most of my social activities and relationships as of late, have evolved around school or volunteering. I feel strongly about being involved with my community, especially its children. But as my son gets older and his world expands, I find myself with more time to get back to some of the things in my life that have been put on hold for a while. If I were to be in a relationship with a man I feel he would need to share that same commitment to family values. On the lighter side, there are so many things in life I find enjoyable. Not necessarily monumental things. Sharing dinner, cooked at home or at a nice restaurant, alone or with friends. A movie, at home or at the theatre. A walk on the beach. Talking about the little things that make all our lives so different. Some things are a little more exciting. Like concerts, love all kinds of music. Shows, museums, sporting events.
