It seems that even under a beautiful cover of a book there can be a sad story behind everyone of us. Each of us has a story to tell and we each have our own book which we attempt to try to disguise with a beautiful cover. Some of our stories are enticing and welcoming to be read while others are hidden under the beautiful cover just to hide the pain of the past. Like many others, I have also endured a lot of pain and suffering in my life, but as for me, I now look at it all as merely opportunities to be able to minister to and bring comfort to those who are possibly going through what I have already endured and risen above (those troubles) through the grace and mercy of God. Scripture assures us that God is always with us to comfort us with His Holy Spirit. ...... and in my case, even provided me with a bodily hug when I really needed one. Once in my past, during a great time of dispair during my failing marriage when I called out to my heavenly father for help, I actually felt warm loving arms wrap around me and hug me. There was no one else in the room mind you......I felt such great love and understanding and was truly comforted. And hey, that's what true friends are for too! If you need a hug or just need to talk through something, I'll be there for you! But of course in my flesh I would love the closeness to be one of permanence and not one of merely being "just friends". It is much easier to be there for someone if you are with them all of the time and when they need you, you are there in response to a whisper or the slightest moan of dispair.
Everyone has accomplishments or work that they like to think define them as a person, but in reality it is the inward personality and the inner nature that defines a person. So I won't bore you or try to impress you with all of my accomplishments (which I have many by the way) but will try to let you get to know me as the person I am inside...the part which most people like to hide because they are fearful that others won't like them if they discover who they really are inside. I quote, "The personality of a man or a woman is what fragrance is to a flower". Life doesn't always offer us personality development that makes us "coming up smelling like roses", but at least we should hope that it at least masks the rotteness we have gone through.....and allow us to encourage others and affect other lives for good. Realizing that we are loved and worthy of being loved, gives us the optimism we need to live our lives not merely for ourselvesand that's where life becomes fun and productive. Well, enough of the philiosphy of life.....
I am a highly educated man with a great sense of humor, looking for the love of my life.
