Personality
You really want to read this...it gets...well...i n t e r e s t i n g.

Apparently, all my photos are about 3 times larger than the size that can be uploaded, so all I have is the one, and it's not the greatest.
I'm looking for a good friendship that may or may not lead further. If not, I'll still have a good friend!

I like the outdoors, looking at stars, watching thunderstorms as they come in, bonfires w/friends, with some music & a few beers, fireflies, full moons, walking in the woods.
I like to write, both poetry & lyrics. Have begun some stories...still experimenting. I make jewelry from woods and other materials, mostly pendants-also some barrettes and pins.

My father had Alzhimer's, and recently died. I spent a great deal of time caring for him over the past two years.
My life has been strange since 2004, when I first was seperated, and a lot of other things happened at the same time. I've been divorced since January, and have been rediscovering who I am again, after wondering if that would ever happen.

I consider myself a pessimist, but everyone who knows what I've dealt with says they're amazed that I have kept a sense of humor. (I'd like to be an optimist, but I don't think it would work out)
I can be pretty silly at times, and serious too. Some people say I'm sarcastic, but I'm really being serious, and they're too dumb to know it. No, I'm kidding...I am sarcastic. You didn't really buy that did ya?
I believe in taking responsibility, but not so much that you don't have time for fun!
Fun is important!!

Maybe I should've been born a woman...not the normal thing to say, I'm sure, but I've been pondering a few things:
A) I like chick flicks, "Titanic", "Thelma & Louise", "Amelie", etc. I especially like the ones where women are shown as powerful, as in, not standing in the corner screaming, while Arnold S. risks his life for the 10th time in the movie to rescue her. "Sleeping with the Enemy" w/Julia Roberts comes to mind. She wasn't rescued by her boyfriend...he was out cold. She acted on her own to save herself, and that's what any woman would really do, right? I also liked "Kill Bill", because Uma T. kicks butt! Granted, not really a chick flick, but like "Underworld", the heroine can take care of herself, and maybe break a nail, which gets her opponent a drop kick in the face! Gotta love that!
B) I like chocolate. I keep hearing that chocolate is some kind of woman's domain, but I am a chocolate junkie. Snickers is my breakfast bar. Dove dark chocolate makes my eyes roll back in my head, and their ice cream bars are like some kind of drug. I really like those Andee's Mints too.
C) Sometimes, I actually cry when watching a movie. There I said it. So much for the real man image, huh? That's okay...macho guys are d*cks. Is that what a man should say? Nope. Guess I must not be one, but at least I can express myself. Last time I cried when watching a movie was, when Ralphie almost shot his eye out in "A Christmas Story". No...not really. I think it was "Thirteen".
D) Sometimes I wear pink. Now, first let me explain...I showed up for work one night with a new pair of Nikes. One guy who worked with me said they were girl's shoes, because they were mainly white, with a big purple stripe, highlighted by pink. I began to consider the obvious...how many women actually wear size 12 shoes? Maybe a few, but I can avoid them. Then one day I wore a "Lavender" (not actually pink) shirt, and once again faced ridicule from a guy who wouldn't eat a cupcake if it had pink frosting. Think I'm kidding? I witnessed that one. You know what I realized? That I was confident with my sexuality. Shrink talk...but I know it's true. This guy actually felt threatened by it. Hmmmm...now HE worries me. He hated Thelma and Louise too. Something about women being violent, if you can believe that. Yeah, it's okay for Bruce Willis to stab bad guys in the eye with icicles, but women should just stick to microwaving Swanson meals.

E) I know the difference between pink and lavender.

I could probably think of more, but I want to summerize, because I'm hungry and need to nuke a Corner Bistro.
Ladies always say, first and foremost that they want honesty. They want a real man. What exactly does that mean? I'm not sure I buy it at all, because time and again, I see seemingly nice women, going for the "hunk" with a tattoo bracelet, and Camaro, who is some kind of Neanderthal with opposing thumbs who can open beer cans. Why is that? Well, how much honesty do you want?? I just confessed to being "womanlike". Can't get more open than that. No I don't wear women's undergarments, but if I did, I'd probably say so. Now THAT would take a "real man". : )
