As much as I love words, I've never been too adept at using them to describe myself. In light of this, today is a good day I think for non-sequiturs. Let's begin.
I really like tea...I'm actually pecking out this sentence with my right hand to leave my left hand free to hold my teacup. One of my favorite movies is Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, because if I had a spaceship that could travel through time, I would totally put a whale in it, too. I hate wearing socks. I almost always have a song stuck in my head...today it's "Everything that Rises Must Converge" by Shriekback. If education were not an obstacle, I'd like to have a different career every year so that I could learn as many trade secrets as possible. My ideal evening would involve roller coasters or sushi, maybe both.
Seriously, though...
I think that the first word most of my friends would use to describe me (other than all the obvious adjectives that everyone uses, e.g. friendly, caring, outgoing, etc.) is "open." I'm a strong believer in making the most of any situation, and I approach even the most questionable situations firmly determined to have fun or enjoy myself trying. I'm looking for someone who is as open-minded as I am...someone who can seamlessly transition from having an intellectual discussion about books or politics to seeing a movie starring, let's say, Will Ferrell. Flexibility is the name of the game. Trying new things is always fun, but it's a thousand times better with someone else. What new things have you been meaning to try?
As you may have surmised from the part in the first paragraph where I said "I love words," I love words. I think that a massive vocabulary is just about the biggest turn-on ever. As much as I enjoy using words, I think I might enjoy hearing other people use them more. I'm talkative, sure, but I love to hear other people's stories. Drop me a line and tell me one of yours.
