Hello...I'm a father of three daughters and one son, and my kids are the center of my life. I love being a father and love kids, and I make sure that my kids know that they're deeply loved. I will also do the same for the woman in my life. I am well-educated and have a decent career, and am pretty stable all around.
My interests are varied and many, and I live life to the fullest. I can be hard to keep up with at times, but I also enjoy doing sedentary things for relaxation, such as watching movies/TV and reading.
I also enjoy good conversation about many things, and I'm usually up for discussing the latest ideas about the meaning of life and other philosophical topics. I like to think that I have a very open mind, and that my opinions are based on fact and reason rather than prejudice and fixed beliefs.
I don't have a predefined image of what my match has to be, although being open-minded is a necessity. I'm not concerned about your past, what you do for a living, the mistakes you've made (I'm interested in hearing about them, but they won't affect my opinion), your family situation (kids are fine, even a plus if you're a good mom), your religion, your age, or your finances. I hardly even care about your looks as long as you have the self-respect to take care of yourself---you should look like you like yourself, but without conceit. What I do care about are the things that make you a good person: being loving, thoughtful, compassionate, understanding, respectful of others, open-minded, light-hearted, humorous, non-judgmental. I'm into positive people, not negative, so if you have a good attitude about life and love, you're mostly there.
Low insecurity and a good level of self-sufficiency are a big plus. I believe that our kids come first, so if you have kids (good!), I will never expect nor ask that you put me ahead of them, nor will I compete with them for your attention. I'm not so high maintenance that I need to feel like I'm more important than a woman's kids to feel secure, nor do I need daily validation and reassurance.
I'm not necessarily looking for something serious right off the bat, but on the other hand it's not something I'm discouraging either. I guess it would depend on the woman.
