I'm a recently divorced mother of 3 boys. I'm not ashamed to say that it's taken me nearly 3 years to feel adjusted to my new life. Divorce has not been easy, but it didn't defeat me. No bitterness, no hangups, no baggage; Just a lot of awareness from years of soul searching. I'm not looking to "replace" my Ex, but I do miss a lot of those things that were once a part of that life. I've come to terms with the fact that, moving on or not, those events define me. As for the individual me... I am sensitive (sometimes to a fault), warm, and giving. I'm a Type A, but I know my limits. I'm independent (financially and otherwise), but not exclusive. I love life and really have made the best of what could have been a bad thing. I'm a natural survivor, but... I'M LONELY (NOT desperate)! I'm active and love to stay busy, to do things on weekends.

I am looking for a man who is honest and sincere and capable of loving. A man who understands the importance of holding hands occasionally; One who will give me some space because he knows how important it is to him to have his. A manly man (rugged and strong physically); One who makes me feel secure. At the same time, he has to possess a tad of sensitivity (show emotions once in awhile, cry at a movie, love animals, etc.) He must be able to argue fairly, say what is on his mind and listen to what is being said. He should be a man who can compromise when appropriate, but not complacent. A man who does not consider intimacy a thing of the past. He must want and enjoy lovemaking and know the importance of keeping the flame burning (w/o fuel from another fire). A man who enjoys laughter and respects tears. He must enjoy life and be receptive to all that it offers (travel, cuisine, the arts). Love well-read men who can carry on a conversation! He need not possess a master's or be an intellectual, but must be worldly and generally in-the-know. In describing my ideal man, I guess I've made a statement about ME, who I am and how I think.
