I am a creative woman with ambition. I have recently earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at UBC O and am now working towards a Bachelor of Education. I am not sure where I will continue with my education and so I will work as a teacher for a few years to determine where my path may lead.
I love to draw and paint, and since I am in this program in Education, I have not had much time for this. I look forward to working as a Fine Arts teacher and then I can be creative once more.
I am very interested in health and wellness, I am continuously trying to stay fit and eat healthy. I love kickboxing, and work at it at least 3 - 4 times per week. I have been at the same club now for almost a year and a half. It is my goal to one day teach kickboxing, but for now I am realizing that it is much more difficult some days to learn kickboxing than to learn anything in University! So, maybe it will take a while, but I will persevere.
I really am interested in Asian culture and hopefully will travel and teach ESL and also visit some of the places in the Eastern Art History courses I studied. I have studied briefly how to do traditional Japanese Kanji and spent about 3 months on self directed study on the aspects and history of Japanese swordmaking. I love the stories of Musashi and the ideals of the life and ways of the Samurai. I took Jiu Jitsu for 8 months and I will always have a deep respect and appreciation for that particular style of Martial Art. It is absolutely beautiful to watch, it is one of the most graceful styles I have ever witnessed. Unfortunately I am not so graceful with that style and received 2 concussions! lol. So, maybe one day when I am more adept I will be in Jiu Jitsu again.
I am always interested in helping others. I love to volunteer and make a difference in my community. Recently, I raised funds with my daughter for Run for the Cure and I volunteer at a Peer Support Network at the University.
I am looking for someone who is interested in taking risks, loving life and is passionate. I am not interested in getting all serious instantly. I want to have a friend/partner who will do fun activities with me and maybe have a bit of adventure. Then, if we enjoy each other's company perhaps we can know each other in a romantic way as well.
