just a laid back country gentleman looking for casual dating. i'm really too picky when it comes to relationships, but, i'd rather be alone with a good book than with someone i really can't communicate with. personality to me is much more importand than super good looks or someone who is constantly having to check themselves in a mirror to see if their hair is out of place. in my world, an occasional smudge of dirt is to be expected as i find myself exploring new things, and one of my most enjoyable pasttimes is rummaging at estate sales or just good yard sales. i'll never pass up a box of old books just hoping to find that lost masterpiece, or just a book that i haven't read.
really, i consider myself an average guy who enjoys a ball game (if TN is playing), but it's not the end of the world if i don't get to see every sporting event of the weekend. i'd much rather be walking in the glory that Nature provides, sipping a glass of wine with a good companion, or even just traveling the back roads silently as we wonder our own thoughts. to me, life is not complex, i live each day as best as possible, i try to pay attention to my friends and family as they need me, and remember that i have to have my private time also. i am not argumentative, possessive, or a violent person. i am also not a wuss or a wimp. i have enough self confidence to walk away without arguing, yet will defend someone who is not capable of defending themselves. see, i am a very simple person, with fairly simple tastes, and some deep morales and values that i sacrifice for no one. i feel that if i am not true to myself, i could never be true to anyone else. they call me the niteowl because i'd just as soon be reading a good novel or watching an old B&W movie as sleeping. you can do that when you're retired (thank goodness).... w/c
