Personality
Many people say their glass is half full, forget the glass I want the whole bottle of life.
It is not the length of time one lives but the width and depth one lives life and the lives they touch that is important.

I have had a wonderful life, times filled with laughter, some times with tears of sorrow and also tears of joy.
I truly believe the best is yet to come and would like to share that with my best friend.

If you are into watching a lot of television or serial dating just pass me on by.
There is more to life than sitting on a couch.
Life must be experienced and not watched from the sidelines.

Some of my favorite things are ...
Hearing the words..."I love you, grandpa."
Holding my three grandchildren.
Being the horsey for the knights, and a tea party with the princess.
Quiet evenings in the backyard with a fire by the river.
Long rides on the jet ski, with a slow quiet drift back down stream.
Trying to get in and out of the kayak and staying dry.
Making custom cabinets with stained glass insets.
Having breakfast at a Philadelphia sidewalk cafe with my youngest daughter. Then it gets even better when my son and granddaughter join us.
The Italian market in Philly.
Detroit Zoo with my grandsons.
Golf with my son, it is always an adventure.
Fishing with my oldest daughter and her husband, especially now that my grandsons are old enough to help grandpa bait a hook.
Running bath water for two little boys after they wrestled carp in my back yard.
Picnics on the bank of the river.
Walks through the spooky forest with two little knights to protect grandpa.
My cell phone ringing and seeing it is one of my three children, who all live so far away.
Florida surf on Barefoot Beach.
Hiking above tree line.
Looking down on soaring eagles.
Grand Canyon at sunset.
Hummingbirds feeding at sunset.
Deer walking in the morning mist.
Snow falling on Square Butte, Mt.
Watching the moons of Jupiter.
Preparing a meal together and sharing it by candle light.
Riding with the top down, my motorcycle has training wheels and a retractable top and seats five.
A nice whirlpool bath after a fifty mile bicycle ride.
Cross country skiing through a deserted woods.
Making the first tracks to the back of Nubs Nob.
A short nap by the fire in the ski lodge.
Staying awake most of the night writing.
Walking in the rain looking for Petoskey stones.
Train rides to Chicago.
Deep discussions such as the art of winning at rock paper scissors.
Spell check ...

I believe that a person should have a set of ten realistic goals, things they want to do, places to go, what ever it may be. When one one goal is reached it is replaced by another, that way you always have ten purposes to start each day. The one goal is to someday have someone to share both hers and my goals with.
I know what I want in life and what is expected of me and also by me. I will always strive to meet those expectations without settling for less.
Life is always changing so we do have to have flexibility.

The quiet moments alone with someone special, reading on the couch together, toes touching.
Staring into the fire, by the river, listening to the sounds of the night.
not saying a word but communicating volumes.
The soft touch of someone head on your shoulder while watching a dvd.
Pop corn and watching a movie, with your feet on the seats in front of you.
The soft sounds of a loved one asleep in your arms.

Most of my friends consider me to be a Dr Phil, caring and easy to talk to.

Everyone chooses how they will live their lives ... I choose to participate and be happy, no matter the outcome.
Sometimes you have to just go out in the rain and dance.
To take the chance of getting your heart broken, only love can break a heart and love is the only cure for a broken heart. A heart without love is a cold lonely thing.
Remember to always smile like a first grader ...
