I have lived on the island my entire life. I enjoy living close to stores, church, entertainment and in the event I want to attend other activities, it's nice to have Jax., St. Augustine, Savannah & Brunswick so close by.
A sense of humor is really important to me. I could really appreciate someone who is over all of the "flirting" w/others and trying to be "the life of the party" and sincerely wants to be with me when we attend events. Honesty is a must. It's nice to have someone to share things with, and be able to talk with, about pretty much anything. It's so relaxing to lay all your cards on the table up front and then you are both aware of not only what to expect, but what to look forward to, as well. I attempted to place
my "interests" per instructions in the section below, but it kept re-arranging what I wrote, and it didn't make quite as much sense as when I first typed it. What I was trying to say, was I enjoy sharing the Sunday paper and a cup of coffee, I like to laugh together and be quiet together. I enjoy going out but also enjoy preparing dinner together & eating at home. I also enjoy doing yardwork together, makes it seem less of a chore when you have someone to talk & laugh with during the work....I have fished here on the island for years and fish for trout, redbass, flounder and whiting. I love being near the water. I love watching movies at home, I'm not a big theatre fan. I watch tv some, documentaries, movies, Cane, Ghost Hunters (it's fun!!) Grey's Anatomy.
I have 3 children and 3 grandchildren who are a major part of my life. Picnics on the beach during the summer occur often as we gather when we can, and just relax and enjoy the sun, water and the company of our family. It's also nice to seek the solitude of the beach sometimes and a special person to sit side by side with, would be great also.
I appreciate someone who can express themselves (without delivering the Gettysburg Address.......ha) and at the same time, not feel like a discussion is an "argument." Communication (I have learned) is really a big secret to a relationship being successful & I feel at this time in my life after some flub-ups in the personal department, that a relationship is worth the investment of spending time together and getting to know one another and just taking the time to appreciate the beginning stages of a relationship even if it ends up just being a good friendship.
I have never participated in any kind of on-line singles posting, so I don't really know what I'm doing - a pic will be posted tonight & I'll learn the ropes and and update my site.....
