I'm shy at first but warm up and become fairly outgoing when I get to know people.
I've spent my whole life in the service industry, raised kids alone, and am learning to say NO more and more often. I am a homebody who likes to travel, entertain and enjoy friends, dance, and open to new adventures.
I am a lifelong student and go to many seminars and network with many collegue/friends, usually involving margaritas and dining. I enjoy physical activity and exercise 3-5 times per week but am not fanatical.
I like being a Mom and a Grandma but need my own space. My home is alternately a hotbed of activity and blissfully peaceful.
I love to cook and usually have no trouble finding people to feed. I spent my life taking care of people and have no interest in doing so now. Conversely, it would be nice to be cared for....at least occasionally, or share caring with the right person.
What I'm looking for in a significant other..Whew. That's hard. I know what I DON'T want. Life experience has taught me that but let's focus on the positive. Non smoking, sober, drug free men are a turn on. Tall is nice but not a deal breaker. Passionate for life(and me) Willingness to communicate in a constructive way even when it is hard is a must. Fighting and yelling is not my favorite way to communicate. Neither is silence. Must be motivated, self directed, have dreams and make them come true, work or be self sustaining. Must be loving, giving, sharing, kind, considerate, WILLING to share household duties. Must love family, kids, animals(I have cats). Please know which end of a hammer to hold so I don't have to fix everything. Handy is GOOD. Men who work with their hands AND their minds are awesome. Must have a good sense of self. Must be able to admit when wrong and move on without pouting.
I need someone who allows me to be the person I am.
Must be tender and sensitive when it is called for and strong in crisis. I realize that is asking a lot. I need someone to stand by me, stand up for me, protect me, guide me, AND stand up to me. The right man must be ok with me having some social and professional life that does not involve him and vise versa, but we MUST also do things together. Couch potatos stay away. He must be able to think and act out of the box, open to new things. Health conscious is good. I'm an alternative healthcare practitioner so helping me walk my talk is good
