Haunted Orna Villa Oxford, GA., U.S.A. 1825. I was fortunate enough to share in the experiences and delight of Orna Villa with its owner. I love the old haunted tales of Orna Villa. I grew up at Oxford Baptist Church in Oxford, GA., where my letter of membership still remains. I was always excited to learn of the hauntings of Orna Villa and relished in cherishing each and every tale. As I have researched the Haunted home of Orna Villa, I have discovered that it was used as a Civil War and Pre Civil War Hospital in Oxford GA., U.S.A. It is the oldest home in Oxford GA and you should visit this evening and take your children trick or treating at The Orna Villa. As, the owner would probably love to have you grace her steps of Orna Villa for the Autumnal Celebration. Please join me in the Celebration of Autumnal Halloween. Be safe and keep your children close. Share with them the photography of The Orna Villa and then take them for a visit. Built in 1825, it is the oldest house in Oxford. The house is a work of Richard K. Dearing. It was owned for a time by Alexander Means, a founder and president of Oxford College and was used as a hospital during the American Civil War. The house has been featured in works on haunted houses because of its alleged association with the ghost of Tobe Means.[2][3][4] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1973.[1] Orna Villa was the location of a college frat party in Vampire Diaries.[5]It is a contributing building within the Oxford Historic District which also is NRHP-listed.[1]
