My Friend John

My best friend Jason's dad died on New Years Day. I met Jason and his family in 1982. Jason and I graduated high school together and have been best friends for 27 years now. I spent a lot of time with Jason and his family. I couldn't count the hours we spent shooting pool in their garage. We all worked on his dad's kit car which was really cool. Jason's family and mine became very close over the years. We have been through som much over the years. There have been divorces, deaths, and many other things. Jason's son died when he was just 3 weeks old. To this day I admire the strength he and his wife had to be able to get through that. It was really hard to say good bye to John tonight. When my father died, he was there for me when I needed it. The world lost a really good man. Good bye John, you will be missed more than words could ever express.
