mandy_6	9/20/2011 12:32:50 AM No body here in county government has had a raise in 4 years, but the county manager gets a bonus package and retirement benefits and a contract guaranteeing him his job after the 2012 elections. Pretty slick, huh? Yes cut back beach patrol by 1.5 million dollars. These are hard times and companies are waiting to see if Obamas proposals are going to go through if they raise corporate taxes they won't have the funds to give everyeone a raise. To raise the cost of their services to absorb the tax hike, they have to raise the cost of their services and that could very well put them out of business. So hang tight, nothing going to happen until after the primary at the earliest. As cupid said above, be glad you are working and hang on if you can. DO NOT make any moves now.

onthelakelady	9/20/2011 8:58:14 AM Many people have had their pay frozen for years, and others have taken pay cuts. It's a really sucky time to be hard-nosed about this. And it doesn't matter who you are either. No one is safe in this economy!
