I'd just like to hear some "intelligent" feedback on younger men, older women. I'd also like to know if a younger man "thinks" about gravity and what that does to a woman, sooner or later. If you loved someone do you think it would matter if her hair turned gray before yours or things started sagging before yours. Guys sag too with age don't they Ok, enough for now, Im sure I'll think of more. By the way, never dated a guy more then 5 years younger then myself. My cousin married a man that is over 10 years older than her. He does look old so when they are together, she looks like his daughter. He is a sweet man and I try to base my opinion on how he treats her like a princess. It can work - it just depends on the people involved - as with any relationship.

You never know for sure what your gonna have until you make the effort and try. Yeah sure there are some lemons out there in this world. But that doesn't mean you can't make lemonade. Yeah I know its a bad cliche. Sorry. Truth be told I bet there isn't anyone here that hasn't had a bad relationship if not more. Age is gauge to go by. For some it will be a limitation and others its a perference in a set of standards. As long as your happy in your choices and the other person is not being suppressed and abused whats the harm. NO I don't condone under age relationships. (21 yr w/ a 10 yr.) clearing that up before it explodes. If your a legal adult and the person your considering is a legal adult "age" is only a suggestion. I think if you are communicating and its productive whats the problem.? Mind you there are many forms of communication so don't assume I am merely speaking about verbal communication. You'll never know unless you try. It all depends on what you want out of the relationship.

I'm 53 years old and never thought I would want a younger man. Some men age so fast. I feel young for my years. Now, the appeal of a younger man seems more appealing. Also, the fact of a younger man is not in his 20's or 30's. I'm talking about a man in his 40's.

The first challenge is that almost everyone states that are young looking and/or acting and the reality is that just isn't true. If this is just a booty call situation nobody has false hopes and there are no thoughts about the future. I've known a few women that have successful long term relationships with men that are 8-13 years their junior. In all cases the men had gone through or never had a mid life crisis. The men were looking for a permanent relationship and not just a booty call with an attractive older woman. Some men want a lover and mommy wrapped up in one package. If that works for the woman...great Some men find older women more attractive because many of them are most established financially(just like older men). My personal concerns would be the following: When the woman is older and either not interested or no longer able to have children. The man is still young and may not yet know "if" he wants a child. He "may" change his mind and decide he would like a family. This means he will either have to give up that dream or find a woman who is still able to have a child. I think this puts the older women at a disadvantage and at risk. or After a period of time the younger man wants a woman he finds more aesthetically pleasing. Every situation carries it's own risk. Personally, I would prefer a man anywhere from 8 years younger to a few years older than myself. JMO [Edited 6/9/2008 3:40:55 PM ]

Shared a lot of very loving wonderful times, And to address the gentleman who had a remark about an older woman, he was 58, I believe. I am probably more active in everything than most women, my age. I have dogs, cats & horses, ride regularly, haul hay, feed and do everything by myself, and if you think that I am dead south of the waistline, think again, so speak for yourself, as to wether you think any older woman can't do what you would expect.........I am 66 and do any d... thing that appeals to me, including long overnight camp out trail rides. irparis39 New York, NY age: 51	I have always gone out with younger guys because they are the only ones who have the guts to get off the computer and ask me out and really met me. But younger guys dont' necessarily mean bar hopping and clubbing. I usually go as far down as 15 yrs, and just broke up with a guy who was 33, not because of age, but because he never wants to go anywhere. Just hang in my house and fall asleep watching dvds...lol And if the weather is as hot as it has been, he won't leave his own house. He's quite a homebody. Now I like another guy who is 37 and looks 20, he, having worked for the airlines has travel extensively, therefore, he's just as much of a homebody as the first. And traveling doesn't interest either one anymore, its funny that they're so young and I have more energy then they do. Guys as young as 18 have asked me out, but at that age, oh hell no, that's where age is NOT only a number. I belong on another site called, Agelesslove, most of the women there are involve/married to really young guys...15+ years, I can't do it. For one thing, I find that women in this stage, are really afraid of being left behind for younger women, they can be very jealous and controlling, become really unstable when the guy talks to other women who are younger, and put up with way too much crap from these ym just so they won't be alone. I'm not willing to date a man so much younger so I can live day to day a nervous wreck worrying about his agenda. Its not worth it to me. Relationships are hard enough as they are without bringing in more challenges to the mix and getting emotionally screwed up. I don't mind dating younger, but it has to be an age where we're both comfortable with, and I'm not some dirty little secret to parents and friends (many do not even tell their friends and family they're dating you for fear of disownership and harrassment). But I encourage my friends to date younger men. They have qualities that older men lack by not being set in their ways. The 30ish are more upbeat then the 40ish, there are always exceptions of cause as I explained above. I have a friend whose married to an older guy, although she's in her 40s, unfortunately, as a black woman, she makes him look older (he's in his 50s) and many think that he's their son's grandfather (he's white, the kid is adopted and black) and the older he's getting the slower he's getting and she still powerwalks every day. You just never know what you'll get with anyone of any age especially younger. Keep an open mind. Paris
