How do you know if it is just an infatuation.....are your new found feelings of love just a reaction from being lonely.....just what is your description of "The Real Thing"?

I tend to think that it is difficult to feel a difference between love and infatuation for at least three years into a relatioship..By then, you have learned most of the idiocyncries of your mate.
Of course if one makes one mind up that you like them regardless of habits..then there is an acceptness of each other. However, when adult children start trouble, which is quite common and vindictive, you know then it is not love because....the mate won't stand up for you, the old saying is Blood is thicker than Water...
My conclusion is ::
People our age has been there and done that...Lets don't attempt a new love life....let us attempt a new Like Life...that is what I am interested in, then if love comes slowly and softly, so be it, the feelings of likeness and respect are between two people and they will have a happy relationship..
As for me...I do not want any more drama in my personal life...

I think we know the same way we did when we fell in love with the person we married. It was infatuation at first, intense, and lust, of course. Love does not come until after infatuation. I think that some folks refer to love at first sight when they are talking really about infatuation that grew into deep love as they became more and more familiar and comfortable with each. jmo

When the only thing that gets you out of bed (at three in the afternoon) is because you are so hungry (having skipped both breakfast and lunch) that you just can't stand it anymore.

Oh, phooey, I don't think anyone would understand that and I don't know how to edit.
I meant, "When you're in bed with HIM and the only thing that gets out out is.....etc.
Is it clear now?
It's getting later and later this Friday night. This might not exactly make good Saturday morning reading. lol

You're right, Lady G.
And some of you others.
I was just funnin'
Sex goes just so far. It's nice. It's more than nice. But you can't build a relationship on that alone. The "honeymoon" stage is over after not too long and then you have to wonder if you can stand dealing with each other.
