Go to a place or event where the whole purpose of it is to be social, it cuts out the guessing games. Then all that's left to do is approach and conversate.

I saw that your living in a good size city with plenty of guys around for you to check out---if your willing to be out and about to meet them. Even if you don't like the loud noise from the fireworks; which are later at night......then hang around even with your kids at what ever festivities are scheduled that weekend. Let people see you out and enjoying yourself, look confident but approachable. Sometimes you just have to get out into the public and enjoy the moment with a lot of other people. This is fine (on-line) but to meet someone in person in a very relaxed atmosphere is way better. If they have a computer you can always chat with them later on but enjoy the moment of meeting that special someone in person whenever possible. Hang in there girl----you'll eventually get there; but maybe just a little slower than what you'd like. Being so much older than you I can really say that there is a time and place for everyone, but it's the friggen' waiting that really does suck!! Been there and done that and I thank God I don't have to do it anymore. Where did I meet the love of my life? On the computer of course and living only 20 miles away.......
The one thing to remember: give them a good chance at telling you their life story, listen well and best of all......."SOMEONE ELSES TRASH CAN BECOME YOUR BEST TREASURE". We are both in our 50's and wish we had met 20 years ago......but you know what......it may not have worked than......we had to go through what we did to be exactly where we needed to be to meet each other.
Please don't think I'm being condescending because I'm not.....just a few suggestions for a nice young lady......L"OO"KING for that right kind of guy. LAURA
