"On Friday, 7/18, I auditioned at Wrigley Field in Chicago to win the opportunity to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" in the seventh-inning stretch at a home Cubs game in September. There were more than 1000 people there trying out that day. Yesterday, I received the email that out of all of them, I had been one of the 50 selected to go to the next level in the competition!
I'm still in shock, but I'd really like to ask for your help to get me to the next level - the top 10. My audition video will be visible on wwwdotcubsdotcom (written out like that in case DH won't permit website addresses here) on Friday, August 8, along with 4 others. Please logon there that day and vote for me! And if you have any questions, please feel free to email me privately.
This is a big thrill for me, and I'm dedicating the entire experience to the memory of my mother, and also to others like me who have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, to let them know that an unplanned and unwanted condition can be the catalyst to really living life to the fullest!
