I have dated married men before. People say it's a commitment thing, but I was very committed to my boyfriend of 12 years. His wife passed away last October and he dropped me like a hot potato. I guess I got what I deserved, but my heart was shattered. I have sworn off married men . Of course I am very lonely, but I should have known better. (The married men before him, I always ended it.)

So wrong for so many different reasons. Your kids, your parents, your family. If you are so unhappy then get a divorce or find a woman that would be Ok with it. You take the chance to lose everything you care about when you cheat. Most everyone will lose respect for you even if they seem to support you.

Sooooooo very wrong, does no one take there vowes seriously anymore??? Why bother getting married if you didn't plan on committing to that ONE person, talk to you WIFE and figure out what went wrong, this will end badly and this is another reason it is so hard to find someone online, were looking for the real thing not a bootie call.

I don't believe in saying anything is wrong or right absolutely. BUT..it's not your best solution, IMO. My personal desire is that the person either work on the marriage or get out of it. It's between you two and no one else and when you try to have a f-buddy, you just pull someone else into it. It's never hidden as well as you think. Even couples who agree to get some on the side are just procrastinating and avoiding working on the real issue, so then the real issue simply gets taken into other relationships and the web becomes more and more tangled.
I think you're seeing it as a quick fix because you aren't ready to take any drastic steps, like ending your marriage or facing the issues in it, either way. Children are often used as the excuse but frankly, they know more than you think they do, no matter how young they are.
I see a lot of people condemning you for even thinking about this but you aren't the only male OR female who has taken this route. I just don't think it will serve your real purpose, resolving the lack of intimacy in your relationship, in any truly satisfactory way.
If even one person said yes, it worked for them 20 years ago and they never regretted it, then you might have something to consider, but I think everyone who looks back on it, would change it if they could.
You're so young.....but an adult and can do whatever seems right to you, but my best advice, since you asked for it, is to find a better solution.
