1. Yes, No taxation without representation.
2. Yes, but only on veterans health issues.
3. Not until they accept welfare housing.
4. Veterans should not be allowed to vote.
5. They should be issued tax exemt cards.
6. Quit whining.

While you may want to answer with more than one of the above... remember that the homeless veteran does not have access to this forum... your answers are for other readers on DHU.

...The politically correct national politicians will address this issue in a manner acceptable to the American voter.
...The American voter will show their colors this year.
...The more than 120 recently discharged Iraqi and Afghan veterans that suicided each week in 2007 are joined this year by hundreds of thousands of more marginally disturbed and disillusioned young and experienced individuals with 1, 2, and 3 tours of duty in urban warfare zones.
...Between 30% and 40% of the homeless in the United States are veterans.
...Two decades ago the percentage of prison inmates that were Vietnam Vets experienced in jungle warfare was very high. Today these returning troop have much more experience in fighting in towns. More prisons and more veteran inmates is a definite.
...The costs of child care and single parent care for troubled and dysfunctional veteran families rises.
...How does your favorite politician value the vote of homeless veterans and their families?

Actually the homeless veteran could access a dating forum if they went to a local library with public computers... hahaha...

This is serious!

Some homeless would like a home, maybe most.
It would not be correct to say that all homeless want a home.
To vote one must register in a precinct.
This requires an address.
To get a post office box address also requires a home address.

No taxation without representation is not true if heavily taxed combat veterans can not legally vote for their representatives.

Harley9482,

Are you a combat veteran?

I hold back my longer response to your comment and what seems disrespectful.

More than 120 a week suiciding soon after discharge form active duty...

Between 30 and 40 percent of the homeless in this country veterans...

You may be doing well.

Are you willing to add depth to your short comment about many whiners?

Heck yeah! Even if one chooses to be homeless or live in ones car, it should not take away anyone's right to vote if a U.S. citizen.

For those who have not been there and done that I say;

Are you willing to put your life on the line for your country?

If we were invaded and you found yourself in a situation where you had to choose whether you would punk out and give up your country or put your life on the line for what we have now, would you fight or lay down?

I would gladly defend America for the right to sit here and type what I am right now.

If you aren't a veteran and been there and done that you know not of what you speak.

Would you?

All give some,

...Some give all.

......Leave none behind.

Bring them home, one and all.
