The New England and New York fans. They think their teams are the greatest ever, and those freakin accents, geez....
When the Rays win the division and hopefully the pennant, you think we are going to think that we are the greatest team ever? No. Like the fans in Minnesota, Detroit, Arizona, Cleveland, and other smaller, yet larger cities, we are humble.
Here in Tampa we had the only football team to lose 26 games in a row. When we won a Super Bowl in 02, we celebrated a day, had a parade, then just went about our business. The Lightning were the worse hockey team in the league for 5 seasons before they won a Cup. Again, same thing. If the Rays win the World Series, we will do so again.
We could not even keep a professional soccer franchise.
Just once, I wish MLB, NHL, NBA, and the NFL, would just prevent the New England and New York teams from finishing higher than last for about 10 years straight, just to humble the people in those areas who think their team is the greatest. Let them learn how it feels to lose for once.

love what your rays are doing, especially since one of my favorite former detroit tigers is back and slugging for you (carlos pena) but i gotta say that any franchise that is doing so well and can't get fans to the park is an embarrassment!!!!!! My God, when the tigers played in tampa at the end of july, i was shocked to see that the place looked like a freakin' tomb!!!!! i mean, there was no one at the park!!!! and it's not just you rayfan, look at your sister team in florida, the marlins. When they won the freakin' world series, they could not get fans to attend! I love to watch your teams prosper on the field, but the "fans", at least the ones who say they are fans but never show up, what a joke!
now that's annoying!!!!!

The problem with the Rays is the stadium is too difficult to get to. Florida should not have a pro baseball team, at least not in the St. Pete area. Most people there are retirees who are in bed when the game is going on. In Miami, the Marlins don't draw because the Dolphins and soccer reign supreme there.
If the Rays move further north to where we are building a Professional Tennis Center in Wesley Chapel, I guarantee 30,000 fans will go a night. We love baseball here, but don't want to drive 3 hours to see one.

The most nerve racking fans in ALL sports are PARENTS OF LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL players that are confrontational with the umpires and other parents. People can really show their teeth and how ugly they can be when their own kid is involved in the game.

This is True Philly fans hate the opponents but hardly appreciate the stars they do have
example McNabb, Terrell Owens, Allen Iverson, even hometown hero Kobe Bryant.

USC fans by far .. no matter what the team looks like or how week the schedule they honestly believe the trojans should be #1 from the start of the season to the end and play for the BCS championship every year just because they are USC ....oh BTW to all USC fans who read this GO BEAVERS ....HAHAHA ... but i bet you still think you should be on the top of the polls even after being beat by an unranked team don't you ???
