However, the dvd/cd doesn't work so therefore when it comes to reloading my info for my printer... which it don't want to recognize or my camera - which needs the use of that component... jamis0n Willow Spring, NC age: 35	I'm sorry to hear you have Vista Does the CD work at all? Will it read other discs? Does it open and close normally? If you right click the drive and select eject, will it open? At worst a new DVD writer will run you $30.. Easy swap also.

This happened before and I Acer was going to send me out a new computer cpu... or it's laptop equivalent... then some tech called me up and said hey ... try this... enter. *.... whatever he said into the search... then from there he led me through something rather quickly... I had to reboot and I was done. I had the number to call back in case it happened again... I called and now The stupids have been hired... they have not helped me or have forced me to hangup because of the long wait!
