I think it's just nicer if a man calls first. Guess it's kind of traditional.

I think it's nice if the man calls the woman first but many times the woman won't supply her number.

If a man is asked for a number; and, he gives it to us.... why is that bad?
The man is being considerate --- trying to accomodate --- make the woman feel comfortable. No?
Maybe, I came in the middle of something..... but it sounded like....when I came in, that men were being disparaged for giving their number.
