he picked the wrong woman if any. Yes she is attractive and can speak but she doesn't know Washington. If I was mcCain and wanted a woman I would have gone with Kay Bailey Hucthinson of Texas. She would get him some votes

McCain pull the greatest move ever. The only way Obama can win or even have a chance to win is if he drop's Biden and picks up Cliton.

How sad that some of you think, he chose his running mate totally because she is a woman?

Alaska is the largest state in the Union...it is also the 6th wealthiest state...
What was the thoughts behind the voting public in Alaska that elected her Governor?
Come on peeps!!! This is 2008!!!
She is qualified to run a State...and she would make a damn good VP!
Knowledge is power....
October 7th (I think) is the first VP debate...watch it, and then watch your Presidential debates, be an educated voter come November, whomever you are voting for!

I was leaning heavily toward McCain before the VP selections, mainly because Obama doesn't have enough of a track record, good or bad. Obama always talks a great game, though, but then, he made a truly outstanding VP choice. Then McCain made a truly questionable VP choice... not because she's a woman, but because Alaska is too removed from the rest of the US and because it seems he was just simultaneously trying to bow to the GOP far-righter's, while gaining gimmicky PR as the "new chick ticket" since Clinton didn't get the nod. It was a risk for John, and history will show it to be a great move or what backfired for him. Seems to me he thought he would lose the election without a gimmicky VP pick. We still need to make the choice based on the pres and not the VP, but I wish "old man" McCain had a different back-up. He could have been truly innovative and picked Lieberman, but the GOP might have finally split in two.
