The reason most guys are a**holes is because when the nice guys where your friends you wouldn't give us the time of day, I know I am one of those nice guys, So we realized when we where nice we kept getting looked over for the a**holes and took a lesson from them.

Boy oh boy... Just cuz you get burned by someone, that does in no way mean you should lump all guys into the same catergory..In this thread you are saying ALL guys are liars or are on a front...And the other one you label ALL as chickens...Hmmm...I in no way feel either of these statements are true...There are many great guys out there that are open and honest and very fun...You are so young and have so much life ahead...Perhaps you have been burned by a player... but let me tell you not all guys are players...Looking at some of these young guys profiles...I think they look like awesome guys...Take a chance...Give them a chance...meet up...talk...enjoy...

Thank you. I was reading the posts on the topic and before I got to yours I was getting slightly offended. Not because I felt like I was being personally attacked, mind you, but because, as you put it, she was lumping all the guys together. I don't lie to women, there is no need for me to. I am happy with myself and the way that I am. I don't feel that I should need to lie to you to get your approval (whoever "you" might be in this case). I will be straight forward to you from the beginning, if there is a point that I say something that you don't agree with or that offends you for whatever reason and you decide you want nothing to do with me, fine. I'm not going to lie to make you like me. You either will, or you won't. If you do, great, if not, that's fine too, I'll find someone that does. Yes, some men lie. No, not all of them do. Yes, some men are chickens (I didn't read that post, but I assume it has something to do with commitment issues). No, not all of them are.
Oh, and fyi, if you are looking for the nice guy that's going to treat you like the princess you think you are, try a little proper grammar and English. i.e. Why does every guy have to be a liar? instead of why does every guy got to be a liar or a front (by the way, what is a front? I always thought it was the opposite of back), and true to ya word? Did you mean your word? I usually think of ya as a way of saying yes. Oh, and da isn't even close to the word 'the'...but hey, it is what it is right?

Never really met a "nice" guy...i always get manipulated and toyed with..get told everything i want to here, think that's my problem i'm too nice and trust to easily..For some reason guys like to tell me the reason why they leave me is because i am "too perfect" for them and i deserve better..just sucks being the good girl..

I feel for ya. It's tough out there but don't get angry at everyone. I'm gona have to agree that most (more than 65%) guys are childish. And something that women have to learn at times is that age doesn't determine childish behavior. I know a lot of younger guys that are more grown up than older guys. It's all about experience.
Consider it a good thing that you get a reason why a guy is leaving you. To me that's sort of a lame reason but that reason also leaves your relationship up for friends. Sometimes that's better than having a deep relationship with that person.
Well everyone is different. I actually happen to be great friends with all my X-girlfriends. I was with them in the first place because I loved who they where as a person. I recommend that for you. Date someone you relate with. Looks are important to me too but its always secondary. I cant fall in love with a gorgeous airhead.

That says alot for your character, just be yourself and everything will eventually fall into place. Nichole...It has been awhile since you posted this thread...how are you doing now???any luck with guys being nice???I email with folks all over the US here on DH...I have found some truly wonderful folks to chat with...I love finding out about their life expeiences and what their areas are like...Don't give up...There are really great guys out there...
