Not quite sure what do you mean by "glass artists", but I did try my hand at stained glass once. Did everything from cutting the glass, to grinding it, to putting it all together. LOVED IT...Despite the numerous cuts on my hands...
Here is my very first stained glass project:

I am quite interested in glass art. I have taken glass fusion, stained glass and next is the glass blowing class. I finally found the guy again that I was going to take it from two or three years ago. Seems I moved nearer to where he now lives. Very cool! Some ofg my work....
Dichroic glass. I don't like how they taught to make one big piece and then cut it up. I learned how to make it in small pieces and fuse ONE time. The other way, you have to fuse it twice. Once after cutting it up from this big 4x4 piece.
My first piece of stained glass. As you can see, I am a color junkie. I learned most of my art from Harmony Stained Glass in Pasadena Tx and let me tell you, they have some of the most gogeous glass around. I have been to another stained glass place and their colors were nondescript. I was blessed finding these people!
Fused glass chimes. So much fun to make. All my other pix are stuck in a defunct computer.
