After last week's offensive loss to the Eagles, I must admit I'm a bit worried about next Monday's game. Here are the injury reports for both teams.
LB Donovan Woods, Steelers, Hamstring
DL Casey Hampton, Steelers, Groin
DB Deshea Townsend, Steelers, Heel
DL Brett Keisel, Steelers, Calf
WR Hines Ward, Steelers, Non-injury
RB Willie Parker, Steelers, Knee
DL LaMarr Woodley, Steelers, Hamstring
DB William Gay, Steelers, Ankle
DB Troy Polamalu, Steelers, Quad
And of course Big Ben's shoulder and passing hand aren't in the best condition!
RB LeRon McClain, Ravens, Back/ankle
DL Kelly Gregg, Ravens, Knee
RB Willis McGahee, Ravens, Eye
LB Nick Greisen, Ravens, Thigh
DB Samari Rolle, Ravens, Shoulder/neck
WR Yamon Figures, Ravens, Hamstring
DB Dawan Landry, Ravens, Neck
QB Troy Smith, Ravens, Illness
MLB Tavares Gooden, Ravens, Hip
We do have home field advantage but (which is not a necessarily good thing - see below) we do have an offensive line that can't protect its QB, a QB who is hurting (rightfully so) and Fast Willie being replaced by our first round draft pick Rashard Mendenhall in his NFL Debut. And, Baltimore is 2-0 with the bye week, however their wins were against the Bengals and Browns (whatever!)
And did you know that the Steelers beat the Ravens in the Ravens first-ever game played at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium in 1998 and three years later the Ravens beat the Steelers in the Steelers first-ever loss at Heinz Field? But I believe we still lead the series (Steelers/Ravens) at 15–9. Correct me if that’s wrong. I found this information in Wikipedia because I’m nosy about football facts.
What do you think???? I'm not a fair-weathered fan but I am a bit worried! In any case it will be a defensive game on both sides and of course GO STEELERS!

This game belongs to the Steelers. I hope they put the second string quarter back in if Big Ben can't handle his business with his injury. But as you said he wouldn't of had that injury had he not gotten sacked 50 million times. I believe in pre-season, the second string(how bad is it I don't know his name?) didn't do to bad. I read that they are already planning to throw Mendenhall in.
But all in all, the Steelers know where they went wrong last game, and they are probably trying to correct, and if not, they should be. And if B-More seen the game(which more than likely they have probably been studying it...) Then you better believe they are not playing and will probably have their guys going everywhere. After all B-More has the most agressive defense in the NFL, according to online resources.
I do want, need, and hope, the Steelers are the winners in this game, but I do think it will be a good one! -Randy
