anyone got any halfway decent plans this evening? i miss california... saturday nights always spiced up an empty, tedious week. i cant seem to find that in atlanta. any suggestions? - m@x

Going out with the girlfriends tonight...new band in town ...but not in Atlanta.
My town of Vidalia is so puny compared to Atlanta...must be a lot more things to do in Atlanta vs Vidalia...sounds like you need to venture out solo and makes some friends so hopefully you won't being going solo any more.
I know what it is like to move away from familiarity, friends, and things to do which I had taken for granted. I was raised in Savannah and moved to Vidalia when I 21. My gosh, I thought I had died. Luckily this little town has grown a great deal since then.
It takes time, but eventually you will make lots of new friends and learn to love your new home.

Theres always some thing to do in Atlanta. Try East side station, Lil 5, Mascarade, The list is endless. Just go down town and you can always find something. You can even try the square. However it gets boring after a while.

Unless you want to go to a redneck haven there really isn't anything fun to do around this town, nothing that amuses me anyway. Good luck though, hope you find someone that piques your interest.

Went to Eastside last night on 78 and ummmm yeah that's a really really young crowd on Friday nights  It definitely not my kinda scene....would be for anyone really hard into partying and more out going than me.

Google "Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau" online. You should be able to get to the CVB's website and find a lot of great activities. If you're into art and culture, I recommend highly the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. One of the best art musuems in the southeast United States, bar none. I was there last in April 2008, and didn't want to leave the place. There's something for everyone to do or go see in the Atlanta metro area.
If you're going to Vidalia, there's the sweet onion festival that takes place at the end of April every year.

I had a great Saturday night...my daughter, niece and her best friend went to the Georgia national fair in Perry, and saw Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan in concert...OMG..it was awesome.....the weather was perfect...and those two guys ARE HOT.......It was so much fun...going to see Sugarland next Sunday.....I love the fair....just wish I had my someone special to go with...hold hands and hold me when we ride the ferris wheel...
Oh well..overall...a great SATURDAY!!!!!!
