Would there be any interest in getting a group of folks together to go to one of the Haunted Houses in the area?
I know of the KUBE HH,(Never have been to it); one in Tumwater every year- (Real mediocre & the actors think screaming in your ear and jumping at you is all it takes. Rated 4 /10 As of last yr. )
The one at Thurston Co Fairgrounds last yr. was also pretty mediocre. (Rated 4.5/10 As of last yr.)
Any others- Maybe really GOOD ones?
(I guess, maybe after working on a really good one of them I am getting to be a HH snob maybe?)

If I have time this weekend, I can check on some in the Pierce/King/Thurston County areas to see if any have good reviews, too. The other thing coming up is Cliff's birthday. Any other October birthdays we can celebrate while we're at it?

That would be fun going to a haunted house.Sandgirl I remember in Hawaii some lady grabbed on to me in a haunted house. It was so funny that she didn't even know me.

I was hoping we could find something "local" in the Oly, Tac, Federal Way etc area.
I may be going to check out the Tumwater one Tuesday nite, if my buddy in Shelton decides to go on his nite off. I hope it will be metter than last year.
All ears & eyes out is appreciated. Possibly this Sat nite (10/18/08) for a HH event?
Halloween can be real crowded and lots of kiddies on the streets, so it is for me, a safety issue. (Besides less chance of vandals hitting your home on Halloween, if you are there too.)

I took the teens to the haunted corn maze out here in Olympia...They had a blast being chased by people with chainsaws...I just did the dropping off and left them there for a couple hrs...Drawback I saw was it was packed with lots of people...Has anyone foun a good haunted house yet???

OK, According to the links on KXXO radio, the following are in the Olympia or surrounding areas:
Haunted Barn. Grays Hbr fairgrounds- Elma
Jeckly & Hydes Haunted yard- Oly- Friendly grove DR(eastside and a bit North)
Marvin RD haunted Gardens- (Lacey)
The Haunted Corn Maze- (see post above)Tumwater area
Haunted House by Olympia Airport- (Really bad last yr if screaming & jumping in your face "scares" you- Earplugs recommended if you go. Low on my HH rating scale.)
Haunted House at Thurston CO fairgrounds- Lacey ( Last yr.it had a couple of good fx, but still low rated- not enough actors to make it really good, and one obnoxious jerk who kept getting in your face & bumping you deliberately.
All the above under 10.00 to get into.
I googled for HH in Tacoma ands Seattle and came up with massive listings. Do any of you know anything about them? Lets find one & get together next Friday or Sat nite & go.

The KUBE haunted house I think i saw heading into Seattle the back way I turned on W Marginal Way and went in and came out on the waterfront...I think the KUBE haunted house is on the way into Seattle that way...I have never been to it...Anyone else???

I went to the KUBE one many years ago and do remember it being one of the best. I have also been to the one at Wild Waves and was scared out of my mind, but..... I have to tell you I get scared very easily. I scream just walking in the door  . The Wild Waves one is fun because you also get some of the other rides. But lots of people there and I do remember the wait being pretty long. And it's more expensive. They have great hot chocolate there too.
