My friend and I have an idea for a board game, but he's giving me a lot of credit yet thinking of most of the ideas. I feel kind of bad about it. Is there any way I can think of something that would credit him a little? If you had a sure thing, but you felt it was someone else's doing, what would you do? The bastard will probably make me rich and I did next to nothing. I need to think of a way to get him back. What do I do?

I can think of several options, some of them not the best cause you are so young. but one is that when contracts and papers are drawn up insist that he is put in the papers and gets a share of the profits, and you could also put him down as beneficiary with right of survivor ship. in other words if something happens to one of you , then instead of the state or someone else getting it It would stay between the two of you.

Oh definitely. He'll get at least 50%. I don't care if we don't make it in the gaming industry right away. I'm still going to make damn sure he's a full partner and beneficiary. Without him there would be no company and no games. I basically act as a sounding board and concept originator. He's coming up with everything that will make the company what it will be. If he's not around, I'm going to lose major money with this venture.

Really, I think my main role is to keep my partner motivated and interested in the project. He loses interests in things easily if they're not fresh and exciting. Without me, he could do this. However, I don't think he'd want to and he'd lose interest and move on to something else.

You know what I do? I'm the one who has convinced him we're going to make money. I know this because the guy is a genius when it comes to thinking of ways to generating attention. He already has a web page and works in the industry as a writer. My job is to make his job seem worth doing. Still, I'm really wondering if I should tell him without his ideas I have nothing to motivate. May screw the whole thing up. I don't want to seem too zealous. He might take the money and run. Odds are he'd just quit if I wasn't lighting fires under his ass.

We should be setting up a website soon. I'll post the link when we have something substantive. Now get out there everybody and turn on the Presidential Debates! Sorry, had to get that little plug in.
