goes crazy if I have my laptop plugged in? It's fine when it's running on the battery but when I plug it in, it's like the cursor has a mind of its own.
HELP! Anyone have any ideas what's wrong?

It might help to know what brand and model number your laptop is, and the operating system. Are you useing the touchpad or a USB mouse. I have run across this problem with some brands of laptops useing the touchpad. Usually the manufacture's website has some updated drivers for it, which usually solves the problem.

It's an Acer Aspire 5570Z. It's about a year old; and this problem just started about a week ago. If I go the manufacturer's site, what do I need to download?
Battery is almost dead so I'll check back when it is charged.
Thank you very much~

Scroll down to where it says:
Download File
Synaptics Pointing Driver 9.1.0q.zip
Left click on the words Synaptics Pointing Driver. It should appear in green.
When the Download FILE window appears, Left click SAVE and then choose the desktop to save it to.
After it is on the desktop, doubble click the file and open it up. It will be a Zipped folder. If your useing XP when the file opens it will say Extract all files in the window to the left. Click there and follow the on screen prompts and it will bring the file back up, only it won't be Zipped this time
Doubble click on the file and open it up. You will see a RED icon with the word Setup. doubble click the word setup and follow the on screen prompts until it is finished installing. I hope this helps.
