I used to live about 7 miles away from my job in 2000, the traffic sucked so i decided to move to town. now i get to work in 15 minutes, no traffic when i go to work and when i go home. there are a lot of things to do in honolulu. the night life is great! there is nothing to do in Hilo and nothing happening in Kona as well, except for a one night club, i think. there are more guys here to meet...just where they are, i don't know. the housing is also cheaper i think over here. i have been here since 1975 and loving it. look me up if you should decide to move to oahu.

Although I am from the Big Island I've lived on the mainland and on Oahu for a large part of my life. I love condo living. It's a little too country for me here. As for a social life...what is that? LOL! If I meet someone special it would have to be a guy who can enjoy quiet nights together "just being." Anybody out there know what I mean? 808_sm Honolulu, HI age: 42	I could give a number of good reasons to live in Honolulu verse Hilo or Kono, but it would come down to one reason....OPTIONS. There is a lot more OPTIONS here. Oahu has quiet places to live and it has busy places to live. It has places that busy from 7am to 6pm and then becomes quiet. It has places that busy up until 2am everyday and it has places that never busy, or only when the waves a huge. There just is a lot more OPTIONS to do things here on Oahu, no matter what you in to. If you want to watch life slowly pass you by and live on island with a small limit of OPTIONS, then stay on the Big Island. Just for the record...Traffic here is nothing compare to the East Coast on the MainLand. At the end of the day, the extra 15 minutes you lost sitting in traffic is nothing to the years of living in a place that is limited. 1. Options 2. Opportunites 3.
