Ever notice that anytime Obama speaks his head is tilted to the left? Blew my mind. Saw several clips today and as he "instructs" us his head is tilted to the left side of his body. Any body language experts out there?
Now for "Transparency". Seems to me it only applies to the last adminstration, not his. Am I alone in seeing this? He wants to make the Bush admiknstration transparent, but not his adminstration.....coverup? What about his involvement with GE?
Any thoughts?

Head tilt - never thought of it as a political statement or tactic.
Geez. Why over-analyze everything?
How about a head tilt as a flirty move?

I been watching tonite and I think that his left ear is bigger, maybe heavier and pulling his head down.

My mom and grade school teachers always tilted their heads like that when they were scolding me or being condescending of my youthful thinking. Looks just like my second grade teacher helping me understand eight divided by two or mom catching me in the cookie jar.

I could really care less about political issues. Taking political science in college was headache enough for me.
As far as body language. It can be hard to tell. Like most body language, it can be a big deal or mean nothing at all. Then of course, gender makes a big difference. Tilting your head can mean different things for males and females, but not always. In this situation, I would say gender is irrelevant. When people give speeches, there body language will change from what it normally is...in order to reciprocate with their listeners. As Obama speaks, just like any other speaker, he will be looking at his listeners and he will notice there body language, just as you are noticing Obama's body language. As Obama speaks, his listeners will exhibit both positive and negative attributes, and he will react to that whether he knows it or not, just like anyone else. Another factor in the meaning of him tilting his head is also found in WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. Speech and body language go hand in hand, you need both to fully understand what a person is saying. Since he is a male, it could be a defensive gesture, but it's unlikely. It's more likely to be a "thinking" mechanism. I do the same thing. If I'm in a situation where I'm speaking, and I need to use more logic than emotion, then my head tends to tilt to the right. I don't remember, but I don't believe direction has anything to do it. Body language is best interpreted when you actually know the person. If you don't know the person, then you can make a generalization, but it will ultimately prove to be inaccurate. Stop focusing on Obama's body, and start focusing on women's bodies, we don't want you changing teams on us.
