Ive been chatting online for 4 years, have tried different dating sites. Have never really met the right guy tho. Always seems to be something wrong. Either distance, age, interest or a variety of different things. Guess I'm to the point now of wondering does this stuff really work. I have met alot of nice people, but only end up being friends. So my question is "can two people really meet off here, fall in love and live hapily ever after?" or is it fantasy.

yes it does work...i'm living proof it does...i met my husband and best friend online...my husband was living in egypt when he first contacted me...i won't drag the story out too long but after 3 yrs of chatting he finally made it to the states...once here he contacted me ready for the face to face meeting..we hit it off as well in person as we did online and after only 4 months of a long distance relationship we got married...sadly b/c of his american status he was not able to get work here so he went to another state where he could find work...that forced us into a long distance marriage b/c i had financial obligations that doesn't allow me to leave my job just yet....we did well in the marriage up until recently when a family crisis came up on his end..and his family needed him...i had been warned of this type of behavior so when it came up i had already made up in my mind if it happens i will peacefully let him go...so with that being said regretfully i ended the marriage to let him be there for his family...and i have once again put myself back out into the dating world via the net....but i do want everyone to know i had the best husband in the world..this man completely changed my life while being with me..and it was very hard to make the decision to walk away from him when he had to make a choice to be there for his family or his wife...will i ever marry someone from the net again...u bet i would in a heartbeat!!!!!...would i change anything about my circumstances if i had to do it all over again??? yes...i would want him to already have his status in the states complete and isn't so bound by the words of his family...cultural differences can be tough to deal with but i guess it's up to the two individuals as to how they handle it...for me..i don't want to ever come between someone's cultural beliefs..even if it means i have to be heartbroken and let them go!!!!! so now i have put that part of my life behind me and look forward to meeting that next guy that will bring as much joy to my life as my husband did...to u i say don't give up..it does work if the two ppl want it to work..it definitely can't be done one sided...good luck to ya! 
p.s. i am still very close to the best friend i made via the net...feb will be 4 yrs we been hanging out!

u may not find him here but ur day will come..i had given up and when i stopped looking is when he found me..so yes always hold on to that hope and don't get discouraged when it seems it won't happen...try joining other sites as well..i didn't meet my husband here..we met in a chatroom of another site...i wish u all the best!

Well Ive tryed a few sites for a few years. Nothing yet. IM not gona give up though. Ware I live the type of woman Im searchin for dosent live near me. I live in a place ware the people are all about horray for me and fu. I hate it here but my kids like it here. So untill I can put a backpack on and go searching this is my best shot. Just be carfull.

Im always careful, thanks. I probably wont need to worry about online dating now. I've been talking to my ex and he wants me back. I've been thinking about giving him a chance. So will see what happens.
