Oh well, I could take up all the "numbers" but will let others share. Now I'm going back to not dwelling on the worst things about being a widow. I have to dwell on the positive things in my life or it will bring me down. It's not healthy. I hope we all can do that.

31. Making and sending out copies of his death certificate...for the various agencies that required a copy. I still cannot even LOOK at that thing. Won't do it! Worst thing was-- the week after he passed, my husband was due in court on a traffic ticket he disputed. I called the court and let them know he wouldn't be there because he had passed away. My word was not sufficient, so I suggested to the clerk that she read the obituaries. She told me that if I did not bring in an original copy of his death certificate that a warrant would be issued for his arrest. (!!!!!!!!!) I told her to go ahead and issue a warrant, and if he was ever picked up somewhere, could she please send him home to his grieving wife and kids??? Needless to say, I did not send a copy of the certificate to her. I know she was just doing her job....but.....whatever...

Maggie, my wake up call came when I found out that the company my wife had been so loyal to for 25 years canceled all of the life insurance policies they had on employees with 20+ years of service as a "cost cutting" measure. I am glad she never found out...

I couldn't get a cashed check by our bank of 30 years-even with the death certificate. They wanted the check reissued in my name. (all $137 worth)

I have enjoyed each and every one of these. They make me cry or laugh or both! We could all publish a book with these.

Now when we get close to #1, we are all going to have to vote for our favorite. More on that later!
