I couldn't get MS Outlook to work. And then I stumbled upon this: Inbox dot com. It works just fine! I am using their free version. It now acts as my default e-mail.
If I have to click on a link and send an e-mail from a website, Yahoo won't do it, but this one works like a clockwork.

If you LIKE using webmail, then Gmail is a good one. I like to use MS Live (previously known as HotMail) it allows for Outlook to be used through a tool called Outlook connector. Im a Outlook user, it can be configured to be used with nearly any email protocal.
Ohio, what email provider were you trying to get to work with Outlook, maybe I can help you figure it out.

Paul, we went with G-Mail as a corporate solution here at my shop. Looking at the price for the latest Exchange server upgrades and licensing, it was the path I took. There was some resistance at first, but once I got everbody's calendars, contact lists, etc. imported, everbody finally was receptive to it.
