I am always at a lose as to what is a good idea for a first date . What do you ladies suggest as a good first date? Could you please share ideas or even your stories about a truly memorable first date . Thank You.

I suppose that would depend on you and the lady. Is it someone you know or someone you are just going to meet? If someone you are going to meet, a public place perhaps coffee or a walk in the park. Something short so you can decide if you want a second date. If someone you know, something you both would enjoy. A quiet dinner, picnic, or an activity you both enjoy. I went on a date to watch one of the football playoffs. It was relaxed and we enjoyed each others company. We both liked football so it was good.

Thank you for your input. I realize this is kind of a no-brainer, but I (and I'm sure others) can use all the help I/we can get.

For me the best 1st date if with someone I am interested in is a good place to have it. Like real estate - location, location, location....!
If you're a talker or she is choose somewhere quiet so the band isn't competing.
If you're not a conversationalist or you're nervous and like music choose a restaurant or pub with a live musician or band....
Good Luck!

well it all depends....if it is someone you just first met, and you r all nervous about go to a bar a grill, have a drink....but if its someone you have known for awhile go someehre where there is music, go dance your leggs off....or take her to a casino and let her spend your dollars....hehe do whatever you want its not like your first date in your life, and whatever pops up pops up.....

I think it really depends on the person. I personally hate to do anything fussy for a first date. I tend to have murphy's law then. For example if a heel is going to break. If I am going to stutter or stammer or get the dreaded blushes it will happen here.
My dating disasters have been the ones where I have been taken to a fancy restaurant or a gala affair.
The best date I ever had from man was spur of the moment. We went on a walk thru town, ended up on top of the hill overlooking, We shared a thermos of cocoa. We chatted about life. It was relaxed casual etc. I can't speak for others but I really feel that a first date should be relaxed. Take a walk have a picnic go the musuem what ever. That is common interest.
I might be dogged for saying this but. I am really turned off my men that have to go out of their way to impress me. I am already impressed or we wouldn't be on the date. So I am wanting more to get a better glimpse into who you are..
Good luck

I am a down to Earth Person and I Like doing fun things I definately want to do something we both enjoy like sitkarains said you already have my attention . My first date I just want to relax and Laugh and just really spend some time getting to know them a walk in the Park or on the lake or beach would be nice maybe even pack a picnic basket.
I definately wouldn't want to go somewhere noisy the first time Use your imagination do something fun and that you have a common intrest in and you can almost bet there would be a second date ! Good Luck

I say how about a comedy club or Kareoke bar, at these places you get to know different sides of people that normally take a while to discover. For dinner we ladies here in my town like to go to the Casino there are foods from all countries and you get to see what kind of things are on a mans menu, not just the food there is a lot of eye candy there and with some observation you can watch what is attractive to a guy or woman for that matter. And conversation is easy there is always something out of the ordinary to talk about seeing in there.

my first dates are always at a public place..usually a good chinese place i know..we eat, talk get to know each other a little more and its never awkward..i ask if they like chinese and if they do then thats where we meet...but,on the other hand,if it was someone i have talked with for a while then a nice cozy place would be better with soft music playing and even candlelight would be great but thats just what i'd like.lol..we're all different and some aren't such romantics..
